An eclectic group of six quirky adolescents vie for the spelling championship of a lifetime at a Bee run by three equally quirky grown-ups. Learning that winning (and losing) isn’t everything, they spell their way through a series of (potentially made-up) words with hilarious and touching stories from their home lifes. Several volunteers from the audience will become contestants on stage.
The cast includes Jonna Capone, Joey Connelly, Kerry Showers, Tori Garmon, Alissa Hamilton, Nadia Wilkes, Corey Moore, David Baxter, and Braxton Swanagan. BAM veteran Michael Stone is directing the production and is joined by Corey Cellurale, who is the music director for the show.
